ACI recognizes the value of family life and encourage all families to be involved in the development of individual programs plans, selection of services and medical care of your loved one. We believe that family involvement is crucial to the success of the individual and integration into the community. We understand it is not always feasible for family to be around; however, we welcome and encourage families to visit their loved one and our other consumers both at our day facility and group home. Each individual is embraced and treated like family at ACI. At every level, the staff knows the name, personality and specific needs of each client. With a high staff-to-client ratio, this attention to detail allows for a greater level of individual care to given. The staff of ACI are truly committed to the people we serve, with some working here for more than 30 years.

More Old Treasures Thrift Store

More Old Treasures is a thrift store locally owned and operated by the non-profit organization, Arkansas Center for Independence (ACI). The store is located at 1019 Malcolm Avenue in Newport, across from O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. More Old Treasures is stocked with assortments of name brand clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, books, home décor, furniture and so much more. All merchandise in the store has been generously donated by the community. All sales go to support ACI in order to assist the non-profit organization in achieving its goals of providing services and employment to adults with developmental disabilities.
